Why I’m Running.
I’m Adison Richards, candidate for State Rep., and I’m running to create opportunity for all.
So many people are struggling with rising out of pocket costs and a tax burden that’s falling too heavily on the average person. I’m running to create opportunities that I sought for my clients every day as a lawyer with the Northwest Justice Project, where I served people who can’t afford a lawyer. Every dollar matters, every job matters, and every person matters; I learned that digging irrigation trenches with my dad growing up.
We can have greater opportunity by improving education from Pre-K to trade school or graduate school. We should require the state to finally pay its fair share for our roads and bridges, and that means more good-paying jobs for our region. We can also grow jobs by making it easier to start businesses, supporting existing ones, and supporting trade schools and apprenticeships. I hope to earn your support and that you join us on the campaign trail!
About.
I grew up here, graduating from Peninsula High before I went on to college and law school. I came back to serve my community and provide justice for people who can’t afford a lawyer.
Issues.
-
Public Safety
I pushed back on violence against women in my legal work and I will continue to push back against violent crime and fight for victims in Olympia. It’s clear that we need to increase funding for first responders to improve public safety and equal justice.
-
Cost of Living
Working families and seniors need immediate relief from the rapidly increasing cost of living, from housing to healthcare and everyday items. I support tax reform that reduces the burden on the middle class and will work to provide immediate tax relief to those who need it most.

Jobs
From the Bremerton Shipyard, to fishermen, to healthcare workers and small businesses, we have incredible industries and entrepreneurship in our corner of Puget Sound.
